Prayers for Parliament and the Nation: Friday, 3 March 2017

" I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. "

- 1 Timothy 2:1-4

This week, the Institute of Fiscal Studies announced that real-term spending on schools in England could drop by 6.5% over the course of this parliament (2015-2020); the General Pharmaceutical Council is approaching the end of its consultation on proposed changes to the current conscience clause which could affect a pharmacist's freedoms of speech and religion; a briefing note was published regarding the rights of EU citizens living in the UK, and the House of Lords voted for an amendment to the Brexit Bill.
