Sunday
Almighty God, we give thanks for the life of His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. We praise you for his many years of service and public life in the Royal Family. We pray for the Queen, her children, who have lost their father and the rest of the Royal family at this time of great sadness. Please be close to them. May they know your peace which you graciously give to those whose faith is in you. In your precious name. Amen.
Do you know anyone who has benefited from taking part in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award?

Monday
Almighty God, you have called us by your grace to be soldiers and servants of Jesus Christ and to fight bravely in his name. Enable us at all times to contend for justice, truth and goodness without fear or favour and to accept with good grace whatever challenges we have in life. Your word in 1 Corinthians ch1v25 tells us that your foolishness is wiser than human wisdom and your weakness is stronger than human strength. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Tuesday
Lord Jesus, we know that you were fully man and fully God. Like us, you felt pain and suffered. We remember all those who, even today, struggle to survive because they lack life’s essentials, such as water and electricity. Please provide for them, so they can experience life more fully and not be burdened by a daily need to survive. In your name, we pray. Amen.

Wednesday
Lord of Lords, we give thanks for the Queen on her 95th birthday and her faithfulness to you. Father, please be with her in a special way today, as it will be her first birthday without her husband Prince Philip, after 73 years of marriage. We praise you for the Queen’s sense of duty to the country and commonwealth and for her life of service to the nation. In your mercy. Amen.

Thursday
Righteous Judge, we pray for those in power within our government, that they will lead with integrity and make decisions that prioritise those living in poverty. We ask that political leaders worldwide take appropriate actions to help tackle climate change, which often affects the poorest most. Let there be a desire to work toward solutions that recognise how we are all your children and have been made in your likeness. For your name’s sake. Amen.
Can you write to your MP, encouraging them to support policies that help tackle climate change?

Friday
Lord of all wisdom and beauty, please equip and inspire those working in the media. May they strive for excellence in producing original, imaginative, informative, uplifting and enjoyable material that will ‘educate, inform and entertain.’ Give them a desire for truth and lack of bias in what they produce, whether printed, broadcast or online. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Saturday
Light of the Nations, we bring before you countries such as India and Brazil, where coronavirus cases are increasing and hospitals are struggling to cope. Give their governments wisdom to know how best to deal with the situation, so that solutions can be found to limit the spread of the virus. For your glory. Amen.
Our events
Dear Lord, we ask that you would equip Richard Blyth as he speaks at Time out with God on Zoom on Monday 19th. May each person attending be drawn closer to you. Amen.
