The UK's inflation rate fell to its lowest for more than three years in December. It now stands at 1.3%, down from 1.5% in November.
An Edward VIII sovereign has become the first UK coin to be bought for £1m. It is one of a set of six that never went into mass production, due to Edward’s abdication in December 1936.
The regional airline Flybe has hit out at reports it received a payment holiday of up to £100m from tax authorities. Flybe said they had agreed a payment plan with HM Revenue and Customs for less than £10m.
