The Archbishops of Canterbury and York asked cathedrals and churches across England to toll their bells for seven minutes at 7pm on Maundy Thursday as a mark of solidarity with the people of Paris.
Unemployment fell by 27,000 to 1.34 million in the three months to February. The number of those in work was also virtually unchanged at a record high of 32.7 million.
