In fewer than 100 days, more than 50 people have been killed in London, which raises serious concerns about how to tackle violent crime on the city’s streets. Thirty-four people have died from stabbings with a further seven people dying from gunshot wounds.
A new sugar tax on soft drinks started on April 6th. It is intended to help reduce obesity, which is a major cause of preventable illnesses such as cancer, type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
Bibles can no longer be purchased online in China, despite the government publishing a new document claiming that it allows freedom of worship. The disappearance of Bibles from Internet retailers is the latest restriction that China has placed on its fast-growing Christian population.
