Bible teaching seminars

Monthly Bible teaching seminars with Peter Cockrell at Mulberry House Hotel, High Ongar, (A414), CM5 9NL
Attend when you can if you can't come each month!

New topic: ‘Exploring the Prophecy of Isaiah’, from September:
Peter says: “Throughout church history Isaiah's magnificent prophecy has often been referred to as the '5th Gospel,' or the 'Gospel in the Old Testament.' This prophet's magnum opus certainly dominates the Old Covenant's revelation of Messianic hope. Its sheer size, however, can be an obstacle to our engagement with it, and therefore cause us to miss the wonder of its many blessings and warnings. My aim, in this next series of monthly seminars, is to 'unwrap' the book in manageable 'bite-size' portions in order to better help us understand its main themes and the Person it presents as our Emmanuel".

Dates (Tuesdays):
22nd September
13th Oct – held at our lovely Woodhatch Farm Barn, Toot Hill, near Epping.
10th November
15th December

Peter is Pastor of a church in Essex and a recent Contributor to our Living Light Bible devotional.

Peter’s wider Bible teaching ministry includes serving as a prison chaplain. He also pioneered the creation of Gospel Partnerships in East Africa; the growth of gospel-centred Pastors’ Fellowships is transforming the evangelical landscape for many churches and leaders in Tanzania and Kenya. Peter became an ordained minister in 1990 following completion of a theological degree. Since then his passion has been to teach the whole counsel of God, revealing the Gospel narrative throughout scripture, and to see this transform lives and stimulate discipleship. This emphasis has led him to further theological training, gaining a Doctorate in Theology in 2015, which provides a platform for his teaching ministry at home and overseas.
