Monday 17th to Wednesday 19th March 2025. 3 day conference
(with option to stay overnight)
Reverend Chris Hill is a former Church Pastor and Bible College Principal who has exercised an extensive preaching ministry spanning sixty-five years in Britain and overseas.
Our Lord Jesus Christ called His faithful followers “Disciples”. The word means “those who follow and learn”. In modern parlance we might use the word “apprentice”: one who follows, copies the work of his Master and gradually becomes like Him.
The call of Jesus is to wholehearted commitment. What a difference it would make to the desperate state of the world if we were true disciples, operating in power and holiness!
One of the major features of the disciple training applied to the Twelve by Jesus is that it was just that: training and not just teaching! In fact, He spent three whole years training them up to the level where He was able to leave them exercising His ministry and displaying His character. Such is the true ministry of the corporate Body of Christ – the Church Jesus builds. His instruction before His Ascension was “Go and make disciples”!
In studying the four gospel accounts we can discern different stages in the process of discipling. In this 3-day Conference, Chris will explore the training method of Jesus. The Bible exposition will concentrate on the “what” and the “how” of discipleship.
Topics cover:
A disciple comes.
A disciple follows.
A disciple learns. A disciple remains.
A disciple imitates.
A disciple witnesses. A disciple reproduces.
